Dave joined the Stratasan team in October 2017 as a Data Specialist. Originally from Hershey, PA, he graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009 with a B.S. in Information Technology, a concentration in Database Management Systems, and a minor in Business Administration. While new to the healthcare industry, Dave brings a strong data-centric skillset across the data engineering, data architecture, and data analysis disciplines. Prior to Stratasan, he has worked primarily in the financial services industry: in Boston, MA with Fidelity Investments and, most recently, spending time with Chubb Insurance while living in London, UK. Upon deciding to return home from the UK, the prospect of more sunny days, the thriving restaurant scene, the healthcare infrastructure, the friendly people, and the (relatively) low cost of living led him and his wife to choose Nashville as their new home in May of 2017. When not working, Dave can be found around town running with the East Nasty running club, out supporting his favorite “football” teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Tottenham Hotspur, contributing his technical skills to the civic nonprofit “Code for Nashville,” or holed up at home trying to find his inner Bob Vila as a first time homeowner.

Tanner Health System‘s C-suite and marketing department recognize the importance of using key data findings to guide their marketing efforts. Yet until recently, the system’s main sources of information were limited to the basics such as electronic medical records, census bureau results, and general facts about the service area.

“We also had data from the Georgia Hospital Association, but it wasn’t accessible visually, in the form of maps, graphs, or charts,” says Kelly Meigs, director of marketing and public relations at Tanner. She says this meant her team was challenged in being able to show trends and targets, and in making sure Tanner’s marketing approach was aligned properly for the realities of the region and the people it served.

SHSMD U Online Certificate Series

SHSMD is launching a new certificate series targeting intermediate and senior level strategic planners, and Stratasan is excited to be involved. This series includes expert faculty who will present on four module topics around data analytics. Each module will include live webcasts, discussion board questions, application assignments, and access to additional resources, tools, and reports. Completion of all assignments and successfully passing the final exam will result in SHSMD’s Certificate of Advanced Analytics.
