Eric Goddard

Web Developer

EricGoddardEric joined the Stratasan team as a Web Developer in November 2017. Originally from the Nashville area, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and History, Masters of Science in Earth Sciences, and a Graduate Certificate in GIS from the University of Memphis. Before joining Stratasan, Eric worked at the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research (CAESER) at the University of Memphis. Starting as a GIS Project Coordinator, he worked his way up to Senior Research Software Developer. Responsibilities while at CAESER included writing tools to automate spatial analyses, performing data quality and integrity checks, and creating web mapping applications for visualization and data collection. Most of these tasks were accomplished with Python. A self-proclaimed Linux-, open-source-, and geo-geek, Eric spends his free time with his wife, two kids, and two rescued Shelties. He likes riding his bike, hiking, reading, and learning new things, usually related to programming, databases, or GIS.

Anthony joined the Stratasan team as a Software Engineer in October 2016. He assists in building out features and requests for the Stratasan app. With a mostly system administration background, Anthony was a Solutions Architect for The Crichton Group developing internal web apps before joining the Stratasan team. Originally from Memphis, TN, he spent a year in California before moving to Nashville where he has lived for the past two years. When not working, Anthony can often be found building something at home, usually with RaspberryPi’s and/or Microcontrollers like Arduino. He’s played guitar for about 12 years and also loves to read as often as possible, especially anything from Douglas Adams or Neil Gaiman.

 

Welcome to the Team: Lisa French

Front End Web Developer

Lisa joined the Stratasan team as a Front End Web Developer in September 2016. Her previous experience includes time as a Front End Engineer for HCA. Additionally, she has an extensive understanding of the front-end stack (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), relevant libraries and frameworks, and some back end exposure (Node, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Java). Lisa is passionate about growing diversity in tech and mentoring those new to coding, especially adults exploring this career path later in life. She co-founded Nashville Women Programmers in 2013, which now has more than 750 members. She also co-hosts NashDev, a podcast about software engineering and the Nashville developer community. When not coding, Lisa enjoys spending time with her wife (Carson), doting on her cat children (Hampton and Hemingway), thrift shopping, and traveling.

Marcus joined Stratasan in August 2016 as Web Operations Engineer. His focus is to ensure that the Stratasan app and its features can be deployed as quickly as possible to customers, aiming for a great user experience at all times. He recently graduated with a degree in computer science and mathematics before getting involved in system administration and DevOps. With a background in HIPAA/HITECH and security policies, he started working as a developer in healthcare straight out of college and had a brief stint at Aloompa, making android/ios apps and the backend software for festivals like Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. His hobbies include playing ice hockey and brewing homebrew beer. He also enjoys hardware projects based on microcontrollers and single board computers.

Lead Front End Developer

Corey joined the Stratasan team in August 2016 as the Lead Front End Developer. With previous work experience at Ramsey Solutions as the front end team leader for EveryDollar.com, Corey is a welcomed addition to Stratasan’s development team. A native of Frankfort, KY, Corey has a BA from Asbury College (now university), where he majored in Applied Mathematics. A resident of Nashville for 8 years, Corey and his wife Natalie have 3 sons, Carson and twins Lincoln and Nolan. When not chasing his kids around, he loves to play basketball, watch University of Kentucky sports, and hike with his family.
