Congratulations to Jackie DeGroat for Earning her Project Management Professional Certification

Jackie DeGroat, Customer Success Manager for Stratasan, has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This certification is offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is recognized throughout the world as the gold standard of project management and is the most recognized project management certification.

Candidates wishing to be PMP certified must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements in order to be eligible for certification. The requirements include having a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of three years of project management experience (leading and directing projects), and a minimum of 35 hours of project management education. Once the candidate has gained eligibility, the candidate can sit for the 200 question, four-hour exam. The questions are based on the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing) and the 10 knowledge areas (Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resources, Communication, Stakeholders, Risk, and Procurement).

“Jackie has been an asset to our organization since the moment she arrived in 2016. She is a rare combination of intellect, resourcefulness, and gentle strength that allows her to add tremendous value to the clients she works as well as our internal team. She is always looking for ways to learn and grow and was quick to raise her hand to sign up for her PMP certification when I raised the opportunity to the team last fall. The program is challenging on its own, but especially so when combined with a demanding full-time job in today’s environment. I am thrilled to congratulate her for successful completion of the PMP program!” – Stephanie Johnson, EVP Customer Experience

Congratulation to Alex Antonison for Earning his Masters in Computer Science

Alex Antonison, Stratasan’s Data Analytics Manager, recently completed his Masters in Computer Science, emphasis in Data Science.

Alex shared the following about the experience: “I learned a lot about machine learning, statistics, and other related topics like data visualization and cloud computing, but one of the more important lessons I learned is to not doubt myself. There were numerous moments where I was stuck on an assignment or new concept, and at times it felt impossible. But after taking a deep breath and going on a walk, I would get back to it. Sometimes I would have to work late into the night, but I would eventually figure it out.”

Great work, Alex!
