Congratulations to Carlos Orozco on his promotion to Information Security Manager!

In this position, Carlos provides direction and guidance for Stratasan’s IT and information security teams and manages the overall operations and direction of the IT and information security departments. He ultimately owns Stratasan’s security and compliance efforts.

Carlos’s previous experience includes Informatics Manager at Vanderbilt Clinical Research Center/Center for Translational Science Awards for over a decade as well as Information Protection Manager for Cigna. He moved to Nashville in early 2004, well before Nashville was a “destination,” and gave in to the country culture after a couple of years, to call Nashville home.

Carlos, originally from Colombia, previously lived in Williamsburg, VA where he attended school. A soccer fanatic, you can always count on him to join anything outdoors and nature-driven.

Congratulations to Jackie DeGroat for Earning her Project Management Professional Certification

Jackie DeGroat, Customer Success Manager for Stratasan, has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This certification is offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is recognized throughout the world as the gold standard of project management and is the most recognized project management certification.

A PMP is an experienced project manager who is certified and trained to direct teams toward a project goal. Candidates wishing to be PMP certified must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements in order to be eligible for certification.The requirements include having a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of three years of project management experience (leading and directing projects), and a minimum of 35 hours of project management education. Once the candidate has gained eligibility, the candidate can sit for the 200 question, four-hour exam. The questions are based on the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing) and the 10 knowledge areas (Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resources, Communication, Stakeholders, Risk, and Procurement).

Congratulations to Carlos Orozco for Passing the CISA Certification Exam

Carlos Orozco, Stratasan’s Support & Systems Engineer, has passed the CISA certification exam. This is the first step toward achieving the CISA certification and we applaud Carlos for his hard work and dedication. This accomplishment is the result of many hours spent studying and building his expertise in IS/IT audits and control and information security.

CISA is world-renowned as the standard of achievement for those who audit, control, monitor, and assess an organization’s information technology and business systems.

Congratulation to Alex Antonison for Earning his Masters in Computer Science

Alex Antonison, Stratasan’s Data Analytics Manager, recently completed his Masters in Computer Science, emphasis in Data Science.

Alex shared the following about the experience: “I learned a lot about machine learning, statistics, and other related topics like data visualization and cloud computing, but one of the more important lessons I learned is to not doubt myself. There were numerous moments where I was stuck on an assignment or new concept, and at times it felt impossible. But after taking a deep breath and going on a walk, I would get back to it. Sometimes I would have to work late into the night, but I would eventually figure it out.”

Carlos Orozco, Stratasan’s Support & Systems Engineer, is now a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

ISACA’s CISM is an advanced certification that indicates that an individual possesses the knowledge and experience required to develop and manage an enterprise information security (infosec) program.

VP, Products & Innovation

Congratulations to Morgan Atkins on her promotion to VP, Product & Innovation!

In this position, Morgan has direct accountability and authority over product strategy and execution. She is responsible for telling Stratasan where we should be going next, which products we should be making, and how to increase market share.

Morgan double majored in Finance and Spanish at Auburn University and received her GIS Analyst Certificate from the University of North Alabama. A resident of Nashville since 2010, she has a four-legged child, a beagle/basset mix named Louie, and when not working, she loves to travel, attend concerts, and spend as much time outside as possible.

Congratulations, Daniel Dreaden!

Project Manager

Congratulations to Daniel Dreaden on his recent transition to Project Manager!

In this position, Daniel is responsible for designing products with great user experience and a focus on customer retention. He’s a Freed-Hardeman University graduate with a Bachelors in Business Administration and an emphasis in Business Management. Having previously worked for AIM Healthcare and Truven Health Analytics/IBM Watson Health, he brings to the team nearly 12 years of knowledge and experience.

A Nashville resident for 13 years, Daniel is originally from Chattanooga. He loves Marvel and Star Wars movies, but is also a huge sports fan and can often be found cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Tennessee Titans, and the Nashville Predators. When not at work Daniel loves to travel, hike, ride his bicycle, and spend time with friends.

Congratulations to Melvin L Boyd III on his recent transition to a full-time member of the Stratasan team! 

Melvin joins as a Sales Associate for Stratasan. In this position, Melvin generates future deals for Stratasan through his outreach and connection with healthcare decision-makers. Having recently retired from more than 27 years of military service in the U.S. Air Force, Melvin is the first full-time hire for Stratasan through the Service 2 Software program.
