Welcome to the Team Carter Belew: Stratasan’s 2020 Summer Intern

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Stratasan’s 2020 summer intern, Carter Belew. To help you learn more about him, we asked Carter to answer the 10 questions below. Check out his answers in this post and if you get a chance to meet him this summer, be sure to make them feel welcome!

What’s your name?

Carter Belew

Where are you going to college and what are you studying?

I graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in Finance and a specialization in personal wealth management.

Where are you from?

Florence, Alabama

How did you learn about your Stratasan internship?

I learned about Stratasan through Morgan Atkins, who explained to me a bit about what the company does, and that’s how I learned of possible internship opportunities.

Why did you choose Stratasan for your internship?

I have always been interested in analytics and after having learned more about Stratasan I was very interested in what was involved in healthcare analytics and what systems were used for strategic planning.

What is your role at Stratasan during your internship?

SAS intern

What are your goals after graduation?

I plan on working in data analytics and work as an analyst for a few years before going back to school to pursue an MBA.

Share three additional fun facts about yourself:

  • I play 4 instruments (guitar, bass, ukulele, piano) but I wouldn’t say that I’m particularly good at any of the instruments that I play
  • I play golf and soccer and have always been a Premier League enthusiast. The team that I root for is Manchester United.
  • I have a signed Steve McNair jersey from when he played with the Tennessee Titans

Who is one person (celebrity or not) who you hope to run into while you’re in Nashville? What will you ask them if you do?

I know he doesn’t live in Nashville, but I would hope to meet Peyton Manning. I’m not sure if I’d have any specific questions for him, but I have always wanted to meet him because he is one of my favorite football players and just seems like a real stand-up guy.

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

I have always really enjoyed music festivals and one of my favorite ones that I went to was Bonnaroo in 2015. I enjoyed seeing Billy Joel, Earth Wind & Fire, Dawes and lots of other great artists and bands.
